How it works
AuctionPad runs on Metaplex Genesis Launch Pools, an audited Solana program. Funds sit in on-chain accounts the program controls, never with AuctionPad.
- 1
A creator opens a pool
The creator mints a fixed supply, puts part of it in a Launch Pool, and sets a deposit window. Mint and freeze authority are revoked, so supply can never grow.
- 2
Everyone deposits SOL
While the window is open, anyone can deposit SOL or withdraw it again. There is no first-come advantage: depositing early and depositing late are treated the same.
- 3
The price is set by the total
When the window closes, the price is total SOL deposited divided by tokens in the pool. Everyone pays that same price.
- 4
Claim tokens or a refund
Each depositor claims tokens in proportion to their share of deposits. If the creator set a minimum raise and it was not met, everyone can claim a full refund.
Fees
Depositing and withdrawing cost 0% in protocol fees, plus Solana network fees. Genesis takes 5% of raised SOL when the creator withdraws proceeds. AuctionPad adds no fee of its own.
Risks
Anyone can launch a token. A fair launch does not make a token valuable. Only deposit what you can afford to lose, and check the creator before you participate.
